Worn, the Soody is a black sweat jacket of the familiar kind: a long zip at the front, a hood with cords, pockets at waist height, the white PGwear crest on the chest, a brown sleeve patch on the left. Hem and sleeves end in wide ribbing, and the sweat cloth gives 290 g/m² of pure cotton. The difference is on the inside.

A bag is hidden in there. The hoodie packs into it and turns into a corded drawstring bag carried on the back. The outside of the bag shows a photograph taken in a stadium, supporters standing in the red smoke of flares. The image covers the whole face and views the stand from behind, with the fence and silhouettes in the smoke. A sewn-on crest label sits at the top edge, and the two cords double as straps. When the day warms up at noon, the jacket simply disappears into its own bag.

Two sizes

The Soody comes in L and XL. Because it packs itself away, it is meant above all for journeys where the weather shifts: cool on the way to the match, sunny by midday, another layer again in the evening. Rather than tie it round the waist, you hang it on your back as a bag.
