2) Data collection when you visit our website

2.1 When you use our website for information purposes only, that is to say if you do not register or otherwise transmit information to us, we only collect such data as your browser transmits to the website server (so-called "server log files"). When you access our website, we collect the following data, which is technically necessary for us in order to display the website to you:

The processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in improving the stability and functionality of our website. The data is not passed on or used in any other way. However, we reserve the right to check the server log files subsequently should specific indications point to unlawful use.

2.2 For security reasons and to protect the transmission of personal data and other confidential content (e.g. orders or enquiries to the controller), this website uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the character string "https://" and the padlock symbol in your browser bar.

3) Hosting & content delivery network

For the hosting of our website and the presentation of the page content we use a provider which renders its services itself or through selected subcontractors exclusively on servers within the European Union.

All data collected on our website is processed on these servers.

We have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider which ensures the protection of our site visitors' data and prohibits unauthorised disclosure to third parties.

4) Cookies

In order to make visiting our website attractive and to enable the use of certain functions, we use cookies, that is to say small text files which are stored on your device. Some of these cookies are automatically deleted again after the browser is closed (so-called "session cookies"), while others remain on your device for longer and enable page settings to be saved (so-called "persistent cookies"). In the latter case you can find the storage period in the overview of the cookie settings of your web browser.

In so far as personal data is also processed by individual cookies used by us, the processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR either for the performance of the contract, in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR in the case of consent having been given, or in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR to safeguard our legitimate interests in the best possible functionality of the website as well as a customer-friendly and effective design of the site visit.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and can decide individually whether to accept them, or exclude the acceptance of cookies in certain cases or generally.

Please note that if cookies are not accepted, the functionality of our website may be restricted.

5) Contacting us

When you contact us (e.g. via the contact form or by e-mail), personal data is processed exclusively for the purpose of dealing with and answering your enquiry and only to the extent necessary for this purpose.

The legal basis for the processing of this data is our legitimate interest in answering your enquiry in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. If your contact is aimed at a contract, the additional legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR. Your data will be deleted if it can be inferred from the circumstances that the matter concerned has been conclusively clarified and provided that no statutory retention obligations prevent this.

6) Data processing when a customer account is opened

In accordance with Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, personal data continues to be collected and processed to the extent required in each case if you provide it to us when opening a customer account. You can find out which data is required for opening the account from the input mask of the corresponding form on our website.

Your customer account can be deleted at any time and this can be done by sending a message to the above-mentioned address of the controller. After your customer account has been deleted, your data will be deleted provided that all contracts concluded through it have been completely fulfilled, no statutory retention periods prevent this and we have no continuing legitimate interest in further storage.

7) Use of customer data for direct marketing

7.1 Subscribing to our e-mail newsletter

If you subscribe to our e-mail newsletter, we will send you information about our offers on a regular basis. The only mandatory information for sending the newsletter is your e-mail address. The provision of further data is voluntary and is used in order to be able to address you personally. For sending the newsletter we use the so-called double opt-in procedure, by which it is ensured that you only receive newsletters once you have expressly confirmed your consent to receiving the newsletter by activating a verification link sent to the e-mail address provided.

By activating the confirmation link you give us your consent to the use of your personal data in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. In this connection we store the IP address entered by your internet service provider (ISP) as well as the date and time of the subscription, in order to be able to trace possible misuse of your e-mail address at a later point in time. The data collected by us when you subscribe to the newsletter is used strictly for the stated purpose.

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the link provided for this purpose in the newsletter or by sending a corresponding message to the controller named at the outset. Once you have unsubscribed, your e-mail address will be deleted from our newsletter distribution list without delay, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we have reserved the right to use the data beyond this, which is permitted by law and about which we inform you in this declaration.

7.2 SuperMailer

Our e-mail newsletters are sent via this provider: Mirko Böer, Malachitstraße 16, 04319 Leipzig, Germany

On the basis of our legitimate interest in effective and user-friendly newsletter marketing, we pass on the data you provided when subscribing to the newsletter to this provider in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR so that the provider can carry out the sending of the newsletter on our behalf.

Subject to your express consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, the provider also carries out a statistical evaluation of the success of newsletter campaigns by means of web beacons or tracking pixels in the e-mails sent, which can measure opening rates and specific interactions with the content of the newsletter. In this connection, device information (e.g. time of access, IP address, browser type and operating system) is also collected and evaluated, but not combined with other data sets.
You can withdraw your consent to newsletter tracking at any time with effect for the future.

We have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider which protects the data of our site visitors and prohibits disclosure to third parties.

9) Web analysis services

9.1 Matomo

This website uses a web analysis service of the following provider: InnoCraft Ltd., 150 Willis St, 6011 Wellington, New Zealand, ("Matomo")

To protect site visitors, Matomo uses a so-called "config_id" in order to enable various analyses of site usage within a short time window of up to 24 hours. The "config_id" of the page is a randomly set, time-limited hash of a limited set of settings and attributes of the visitor. The config_id or the config hash is a character string which is calculated for a visitor on the basis of their operating system, their browser, their browser plug-ins, their IP address and their browser language. Matomo does not use device fingerprinting and uses an anonymised IP address of the site visitor to create the "config_id".

In so far as the information processed in this way includes personal user data, the processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in the statistical analysis of user behaviour for optimisation and marketing purposes. In order to object to the processing of your visitor data in the future, we provide you with a separate opt-out facility on our website.

In so far as data collected with the Matomo technology (including your pseudonymised IP address) is transferred to Matomo servers in New Zealand and processed there for usage analysis purposes, we advise you that the European Commission has issued a so-called adequacy decision for New Zealand which attests to compliance with European data protection standards in the case of international data transfers.

In so far as data is also transferred to the provider's servers and the web analysis service has not been installed locally on our server, we have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider which ensures the protection of our site visitors' data and prohibits unauthorised disclosure to third parties.

Objection: The measurement runs without cookies and with a shortened IP address. Anyone who nevertheless does not wish to be counted can switch it off here. The decision is stored in a single cookie which serves this purpose only.
