Coast-ready wind layer with three lines of fraktur

Coastline, lakes and a great deal of wind: anybody from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern knows what a coat like this is good for. The men's windbreaker has a hood, weighs little, and bears the state name over two lines on the chest, with OSTDEUTSCHLAND added.

Cloth

Wholly nylon on the outside, wholly polyester as lining. The outer face is water-repellent – of use against gusts and light rain, but no coat for a full day of weather by the sea.

The wordmark

Mecklenburg and Vorpommern sit one above the other in two curved lines of fraktur, with OSTDEUTSCHLAND forming a third line below. The design is found on the left side of the chest. Print colour is red on the black/red jacket and white on the other two. Printed in Germany.

The choice

This jacket exists in three colourways – black, black/red and black/white – across eight sizes between S and 5XL. On both two-tone versions the pull tapes, the zips and the hood interior are red or white respectively.

What the jacket does

Nylon out, polyester in: no more is needed to shut out wind, and no more is delivered. Warmth comes from whatever is worn underneath. By the coast the point becomes obvious quickly, when the wind cuts across the promenade and the hood goes up. The zips on the side pockets see to it that a telephone stays there on a bike too.
