Fraktur state name on a lightweight hooded shell

For anybody from Thüringen, or anybody who counts their roots there: this jacket puts the state name large across the chest in old German characters. A corded hood keeps the draught off the head, and the coat pulls on quickly when a spring or autumn day turns cooler than expected.

Cloth and lining

Nylon forms the outside at 100 per cent, polyester the inside at the same. The outer face repels water. The jacket is laid out for wind and light rain; standing for hours in a downpour calls for something else.

The Thüringen print

Thüringen stands on the left of the chest in flowing fraktur characters, and immediately below, in narrow bold capitals, OSTDEUTSCHLAND. The wordmark is white on black and on black/white, red on black/red. Printing is done in Germany.

Versions

Three colourways are ready: all black, black/red and black/white. On the two-tone models the cords, the zips and the inside of the hood carry the second colour. The size run starts at S and finishes at 5XL.

Smartphone, wallet and keys disappear into the pockets at the hip, which a puller closes. Eight size steps make up the regular fit, reaching all the way to 5XL. The nylon outside keeps water off, though not for a whole day of it.
