Shirt in the style of a police file

Across the top DEZERNAT curves in strong capitals, much like the lettering on a college shirt. Beneath it, GEWALTTÄTER and SPORT fill two lines. On the black shirt the upper word is printed white and on the white one black; both lower lines are red in either photograph.

Irony with a case-number charm

The name sounds like a records office and an index card. That is precisely the joke: the shirt picks up the language of officialdom and carries it, tongue in cheek, into the ground or into the pub afterwards.

White or dark

Besides white there are black, navy, red, burgundy and brown. Oversizes to 5XL are stocked in black, white, navy and red, while burgundy and brown go as far as 3XL.

Cotton, ring-spun

The yarn is ring-spun and yields a jersey that feels soft and still weighs 185 grams to the square metre. A rim of rib knit lies at the throat with a tape inside; the two together stop the neckline going out of shape over time. Washing happens at thirty degrees.

Where the shirt fits in
