Shirt for the boss of the office, the flatshare or the workshop

Two words in heavy block capitals, one above the other: ANSTALTS and LEITUNG. The upper line is white, black on the white shirt, while the lower one sits inside a red bar with the letters knocked out of it. Together they hand a title to whoever keeps the place running, even when the place looks rather like an asylum.

Who has earned it

The shift leader with twelve apprentices, the chair of the club, the father of three children under ten. Or you wear it yourself and settle the question of rank without any discussion at all.

Details

The material is jersey of cotton throughout, 185 grams per square metre, knitted circular so that the sides stay free of seams. The cut falls straight, a rib band sits at the round neck with a tape inside; the wash temperature is thirty degrees. In burgundy and brown the size row ends at 3XL, while black, white and navy run to 5XL.

The lettering

Both lines lean slightly to the right and finish flush at the same width. The red bar carries a thin outline that lifts it off the cloth. The letters are angular and closely spaced, with no decoration.

Widths and origin

Eight widths cover the row, four of them beyond XL. The scales show 180 grams in L and 275 at the widest. Frechstoff lists this design in its series of slogans for the working day.
