The figures are built from separate bars set at a slight slant, exactly like the display on an old clock radio. A colon divides the two pairs of numbers, and with that a number has become a time of day. Those who can read it know; those who cannot simply see a shirt with a clock on it.

Seven segments: where the shape comes from

Seven bars per figure, and that is still how digital watches, clock radios and kitchen timers assemble their numbers. The small slant belongs to the system and is the reason the panel looks like a display straight away rather than like lettering.

Red across four shades

The red readout appears on black, navy, burgundy and white. Against black it behaves like an alarm clock in a dark bedroom; against white it reads more as a graphic accent. Three of the four shades reach 5XL, burgundy stopping at 3XL.

On time, to the right minute

The motif invites participation: phone out, eye on the clock, one photo at the right moment. The same number is carried in the shop by a beanie and by shorts as well, should it grow into a whole set.

Making

The jersey comes to 185 g/m² and takes shape as a tube, so nothing chafes along the sides. A band of rib knit runs round the circular neckline. Machine wash at 30 °C.
