The laurel wreath stood for victors in antiquity and later turned up on sports badges and club crests. Here it encloses lettering in broken characters from the left and the right. The branches meet at the bottom and stay open at the top, and everything is printed white, which makes the whole read like a small emblem.

Old symbol, plain statement

Victor's wreath and old German characters produce a look that suggests tradition rather than protest, and that is exactly where the design finds its humour. Centred on the chest and kept modest in size, so it does not look out of place under an open jacket.

Black in eight sizes

The shirt exists in black only, but right through from S to 5XL, outsizes included. White on black is also the strongest contrast a print can have; the wreath therefore stays recognisable as a wreath from several metres away and does not blur into a shape.

Make

Circular-knitted cotton at 185 gsm, seamless down the sides. A band of ribbing sits at the round neckline, and the sleeves are short and finished straight. Thirty degrees in the machine.

Regular fit, briefly explained

Regular fit here means: a straight side line from arm to hem, normal sleeve width, no shaping at the waist. The shirt neither clings nor flaps, and it goes over a longsleeve without trouble.
