Pointed characters with a double outline, set in red on black cloth: the type looks as though it came off the poster of an eighties hard rock tour. A small bolt strikes between the C and the A and splits the word in two. Anyone with the right records on the shelf recognises the style at once, without a band name having to appear.

The cloth underneath

Circular-knitted cotton jersey, 185 g/m² in weight, with nothing seamed at the sides. Washing at thirty degrees.

Why there is ribbing at the neck

The band at the neckline is knitted tighter than the rest of the jersey and is therefore more elastic. It gives when the shirt goes over the head and draws back afterwards – the reason the collar does not hang in a wave over the chest after a few washes.
