Beer can motif with a drawn arm

Four lines stacked one under the other: NIE, OHNE, MEIN, DOSENBIER. The characters are dark green, slightly irregular, and look as though a brush had gone over them. At the top right a drawn arm grows out of the block of lettering, the biceps tensed, the fist around a green can with a yellow label. Nothing more is needed. The four lines are set to the left and shift a little to the right further down, which leaves room for the arm at the top right. The can lies across the fist, the thumb covers the opening, and a pale highlight runs over the biceps. In English the line means never without my canned beer.

The motif is for everyone whose cool box always travels along: a festival camp, a fishing trip, a barbecue spot by the lake, the forecourt outside a ground. And for the mate who books the deposit money as next year's holiday fund.

Four pale colours

The green of the print sits on pale cloth, which is why the shirt is only made in white (S to 5XL) and in the tones natural, yellow and light blue, each to 3XL. Frechstoff makes it from ring-spun cotton at 100%, regular fit, sleeves short, rib knit round the neck, a tape at the nape. For the wash, 30 °C is warm enough.

Why only pale cloth

The print works with two shades of green and black outlines, and the arm keeps the cloth's own colour. On a pale ground that reads as drawn skin, whereas on dark cloth the trick would be lost. The choice is therefore limited to four pale tones.
