A farewell drawn like a children's reader

The motif is a licensed illustration by Steven Rhodes and looks as though it came out of a school reader from the seventies: a girl with a bobbed haircut, a yellow jacket and red striped sleeves marches along a red path in short blue trousers. A small blue suitcase dangles on the left while the right hand waves high above her head. Behind her lie a yellow sky with clouds and a flat line of town buildings. Above the scene SEE YOU LATER is set in petrol, and below it ASSHOLES in thick yellow and orange characters.

Innocent picture, rough message: that is what the motif lives on. It suits the last day in an old job, the departure on holiday, or moving out of a shared flat when there is still something to leave behind for those staying.

Shirt and sizes

Frechstoff prints the retro illustration onto a short-sleeved men's t-shirt of 100% ring-spun cotton. Straight regular fit, round neck opening with rib knit, the nape taped, washable at 30 °C. Black, navy and white go up to 5XL; brown or burgundy means S to 3XL.

185 grams of cotton to the square metre, knitted as tubular goods with no side seams, form the basis. The regular fit covers black, navy and white in eight sizes, burgundy and brown in six. The retro charm of the drawing and the cheeky goodbye pull in the same direction.
