The full moon motif places the small visitor head-on against a cool blue disc, with dark treetops picked out along the lower edge of the picture. Below that stands E.T. in glowing blue, joined by the subtitle The Extra-Terrestrial. The print sits centrally on the chest and gains plenty of contrast from the black ground, while the reverse is left entirely clear. Licensed goods means the figure and the lettering are cleared by the rights holder and not redrawn.

Fabric, neckline, sizes

The shirt is woven from pure cotton, and the single jersey comes to 160 grams per square metre. That is a middling weight, firm enough not to show through and light enough for warm days. The neckline is round and bound with a narrow rib that keeps its shape. The sleeves stop just above the elbow.
