The front shows a bulldog in a cap shouldering a baseball bat, drawn in dark blue with clean outlines. Behind the animal the words SOCIAL RATBAGS and CALIFORNIA stand in large orange block capitals, and in front of it Social Ratbags appears again in a dark script. Three layers one over another, then, which give the print depth without making it restless. Dark blue and orange are the only colours beside the yellow of the fabric.

Social Ratbags runs across the shoulder blades in flowing letters, with smaller additions from the label underneath. Whoever wears the shirt shows the design from both sides: as a picture at the front, as lettering at the back.

Fabric and fit

The pale yellow is a summer shade and brings out the dark blue of the artwork in full. The fabric is 80% cotton and 20% polyester, which helps the shirt keep its shape after washing and dry quickly. The cut is narrow and sits against the body; if in doubt, take a size up. Sizes run from S to 3XL.

Light shades pick up colour from the drum easily, so this one belongs in a light wash. Turned inside out, the orange of the block capitals stays strong too.
