Kein Bier vor Vier Men's T-Shirt, Beer Clock

A dial where every numeral is a four

The old rule becomes easy to keep once you adjust the clock. On this dial, each of the twelve positions carries a 4, the hands stand at four o'clock, and beer rises from below with bubbles and a white head of foam to just above the centre. KEIN BIER and VOR 4 frame the clock in narrow red-brown letters with a lightly worn finish. The fours rest on twelve short strokes at the rim, each one tilted slightly inwards. A double ring forms the case, and the bubbles climb as fine dots towards the line of foam.

A rule with a back door

Anyone keeping to Kein Bier vor Vier, no beer before four, will never run into trouble with this clock. The shirt fits a morning session, a Saturday in the workshop, and the colleague who is already asking the time at midday.

Why pale cloth only

The print manages with red-brown, yellow and white, and needs a pale ground if the beer in the dial is to keep its colour. That is the reason white, yellow and natural are the only three versions offered.

Three shades, and how far each runs

Frechstoff prints the beer clock on white up to 5XL and on yellow and natural up to 3XL, each of them starting at S. A cloth weighing 185 g per square metre across those widths makes the shirt usable on an everyday morning, through a hot afternoon and as a layer beneath something warmer.
