A salmon-red goat with a long chin beard stretches its neck from a wooden crate that still holds four bottles. Foam clings to its muzzle, so it has clearly made a start. A white banner flutters above with BOCK on it, a second below with AUF BIER, the letters in dark brown. Three horizontal boards draw the crate, and the bottle necks glint between them. The animal's head lies far back, the horns point behind it, and the banners end in notched tails like cut paper.

In the mood for a cold one

In German, Bock haben means to fancy something, while ein Bock is both a billy goat and a strong beer. Frechstoff has turned that double meaning into an animal. The shirt belongs to the end of a shift, to hauling crates on moving day, and to anyone who has never once answered no when a beer is offered.

Four colours in the print

Salmon red for the animal, two wood tones for the crate, cream for the banners, and dark brown lines on top. Against black and navy the pale banners read most sharply, while on red and burgundy the goat moves closer to its background.

Choosing a shade and a width

Red carries the motif from S through to 5XL, as do royal blue, navy and black, with burgundy ending at 3XL. The jersey is a middleweight at 185 g per square metre, and spread over those widths it answers for a working day, a warm evening outdoors and duty under an open shirt.
