Tattoo flash with a skeleton and a glass

The skeleton leans back on one elbow and tips a glass into its jaw. Only there is nothing left to hold the drink: it runs straight back out between the ribs. WE LOVE stands above the skull in tall narrow letters, and what kills us sits below between two asterisks in a broken typeface. A small diamond with an X and EST. 1990, plus fine rays in the background, give the whole thing the look of an old tattoo flash.

Honest about it

The line lands with everybody who knows the third drink is a bad idea and orders it anyway. A shirt for a rock gig, a pub or a festival, with a motif that grins rather than warns.

Print and sizes

Frechstoff prints the design entirely in black, which makes it stand out on light blue, yellow and red. Red opens at S and is carried through to 5XL; light blue and yellow also start at S and close at 3XL. The cotton measures 185 g/m², a weight that keeps even red opaque and lets the shirt drop from the shoulder without rucking up.

How it is made

There is no side seam: the body comes off the machine as a tube. Ribbed knit at the neckline, a tape behind it, a straight cut and short sleeves (wash at 30 degrees).
