Three lines and one decision

The whole story fits into three lines. At the top is what the girlfriend said; in the middle the question itself, large and inside a bar: MALLE ODER ICH. The answer comes right at the bottom in small type and leaves no doubt which way the wearer went, though he does miss her now and then.

A bar in the colour of the shirt

On the coloured shirts the bar is white and the type inside it picks up the fabric shade. On the white shirt it is the other way round: black bar, white letters. The first and third lines stand free above and below, outside the bar. Black, navy, royal blue, red and white are made to 5XL, while kelly green, brown and burgundy end at 3XL.

Fabric, neck and seams

A band of ribbed knit holds the edge of the neckline and a tape covers the seam behind it. The cotton is ring-spun, and 185 g/m² of it give the body enough substance to fall in a straight line, bar and lettering included. The tube is knitted without a side seam and the sleeves stop above the elbow (30 degrees in the machine).

A present with a wink

Meant for the mate who flies out every year whatever is going on at home. Whoever gives it had better brief the partner first. It gets worn at the gate before departure, in the group photo by the pool, and at the reunion a year later.
