The picture looks lifted from a comic book of the nineteen-fifties: heavy outlines, a couple in front of a pale circle. She has blonde waves and a pink striped dress and holds a small glass; he wears a dark shirt and is just lifting his beer. The reason is spelled out above and below in white block capitals: Weil nüchtern auch langweilig ist. The pair stand inside a light oval with short rays pointing outwards. The upper line curves gently upward, the lower one follows the bend of the oval, and both are set in white with a dark shadow.

An excuse with style

Why another one? The answer is already on display. The shirt suits a couples' evening, a pub quiz or a birthday, and makes a present for two people who like clinking glasses.

Six colours

The motif comes on black, navy, red, royal blue, burgundy and light blue. The first four carry on to 5XL, whereas burgundy and light blue break off at 3XL. The jersey, 185 g/m², gives the shirt the weight to fall cleanly over the belt, and nothing shows through beneath the white capitals. Tubular knit in pure cotton, short sleeves, crew neck, straight cut (30 degrees in the machine).

Few colours, old printing style

Cream, pink, yellow and black are all it takes, and the surfaces are modelled with hatching instead of gradients. On light blue and burgundy the image reads softer; on red, navy, black and royal blue the pale oval lifts clear of the cloth.
