Retro motif with a monkey and an after-work beer

The hero of the design is a proboscis monkey with a drooping nose, heavy lids and green-yellow fur. He sits in front of broad horizontal stripes in red, orange and peach that recall the sunsets on old posters, and he holds a full tankard. GEPFLEGT EINEN HINTER DEN runs above, DAMM BIBERN below, both in narrow dark brown capitals.

Unhurried, not rushed

The German line means nothing more than taking a beer at a thoroughly leisurely pace, and the monkey's expression says the same. The garment belongs to a summer evening on the balcony, to a day's fishing or to a party in the garden, and it is a present for anybody who savours a beer rather than pouring it away.

Three light shades

Frechstoff offers the design on light blue, red and white. Red and white travel to the end of the ladder, light blue breaks off two stages sooner. The cloth is cotton at 100%, knitted in the round without a flank seam, and it reads as soft and middling to the fingertips at 185 g/m².

Collar and care

Rib knit lies at the round neck opening and a tape inside at the nape, with short sleeves to finish. The straight cut comes in eight sizes in red and white and six in light blue, all of them content with 30 degrees in the washing machine. Anyone easing into the weekend and taking their time over a glass has their line here; speed is not what the phrase is about.
