Dr. Dicht Men's T-Shirt, Typewriter Face

A doctorate earned at the bar

No picture, no frame, just two words in a typewriter face set mid-chest: Dr. Dicht. The motif lives on the fact that the nickname looks like a name badge. On brown, burgundy, navy, red and black the lettering is pale grey; on white it turns black.

Who has earned the title

Every group has the one who is still ordering rounds at midnight and remembers nothing on Sunday. The garment is meant for him, as a present for a birthday, a graduation party or a stag weekend. A title without a thesis, but with a great deal of practice.

What the name means

Dicht is German slang for thoroughly drunk, so the two words promise a doctor of being plastered.

Six shades, straight cut

Frechstoff makes the garment from cotton alone: a jersey that gives a soft, dry handle at 185 g/m², seamless at the sides, regular fit, sleeves short and a round neck in rib knit, with nothing beyond 30 degrees wanted when it is washed. White, navy, red and black run to 5XL, whereas the brown and the burgundy halt at 3XL.

Only two words

The face imitates the strike of a mechanical machine: one width for every character, slightly ragged edges, small serifs. The full stop after the abbreviation sits tight against the character before it. The line travels level across the middle of the chest and the cloth around it stays bare.

Widths

The series takes in eight widths, four of them above XL. A garment in S weighs 145 grams, in 4XL 240. Within the shop this design is filed among the drink-themed motifs.
