Holiday shirt built on a German pun

At first glance the lettering looks like a brand mark. Look again and the colour splits it in two: VOLL in yellow, ISTER in white. What comes out is voll ist er, German for he is plastered, and the stick figure above confirms it, bottle in hand and balance all but gone. Under the name, Mallorca is written small in a flowing script.

For the friend who gets there first

Every circle has one the line fits, whether on the school leavers' trip, the week on the island or an ordinary night in the pub. With this on, even strangers are told. It works as a birthday present inside the group and as a matching shirt for the whole party travelling out.

Six shades to choose from

Royal blue, navy, red and black go all the way; burgundy and brown break off two stages sooner. The yellow half of the lettering stays easy to read on every one of them, and all six begin at the narrowest size.

Neck, seam and yarn

The collar band is rib knit and the nape tape covers the seam below it. Ring spinning turns the cotton into an even yarn, the body is knitted without lateral seams, and at 185 g/m² the jersey feels mid-weight in the hand, a character a 30 degree wash leaves alone. The cut is straight and the sleeves short.
