Keyring strap carrying a stitched motto
Three words and an exclamation mark: Klagt nicht, kämpft!, which translates as do not complain, fight. MIL-TEC has put the motto into stitched lettering on a strap, and done so on either face. Viewed from the front or from behind, the fob shows the identical message.
Stitched rather than printed
Thread works the lettering into the weave itself, so the motto is made of stitches rather than of ink laid on the surface. Having both faces worked saves turning it over: the motto always sits the right way up.
Format and weave
The strap comes to 12.5 x 2.5 cm, long enough to show above the edge of a jacket pocket yet narrow enough not to foul a lock. A blend of 60% polyester with 40% cotton keeps it pliable, and the stitching down the edges stops them fraying. A key ring hangs at the upper end, ready for house, car or locker keys.
What it is good for
A slim bunch of keys disappears into the bottom of a rucksack. With the strap in your fingers it turns up faster, and clipped to a zip pull or a belt-loop carabiner it marks which bunch belongs to which door.
