Padded bomber in the MA1 pattern, wearable either way out

Short in the body, smooth on the shell, ribbed knit at the collar and close bands at wrist and waist: the Type MA1 flight jacket from MIL-TEC keeps to the familiar shape of the US pilot jacket. Padding of 200 g/sqm lies between shell and lining, which puts the jacket squarely in the transitional months and on cool days.

Turn the MA1 inside out and the orange lining becomes the outer face. It is built as a reversible jacket and both sides are meant to be worn. On the outer face an patch pocket with a zip and narrow pen slots sits on the upper sleeve, the classic utility pocket of this pattern.

Pockets and fastening

The front closes with a plastic zip. There are two slash pockets at the sides, each flap held by a press stud, plus two inside pockets for a phone or a wallet. The rib knit at collar, cuffs and waistband is polyacrylic.

Two colours, six sizes

The MA1 is ready in black and in olive, each one from S to 3XL. Both outer colours share the same orange lining. Because the body stops at the hip, the jacket goes over a hoodie without bunching, which makes it useful in autumn, on an away trip and on the walk to a late shift.
