Hooded sweatshirt with a balaclava and a colourful appliqué

The model takes its name, Applique, from the large patch on the chest: four colour fields in green, red, blue and yellow, outlined in grey, with a fluffy chenille surface. The whole thing is applied as a rectangle bound all round with grey tape, and each figure sits on a field of its own. The patch is stitched, not printed, and stands well clear of the black ground.

Behind a zip in the collar waits a black balaclava carrying a small crest patch above the eye slit. Leave it stowed and you are wearing an ordinary hoodie with a hood, a kangaroo pocket and a drawcord. There is no front zip on this model; it goes on over the head, and wide ribbing finishes the hem and sleeves. A PGwear leather patch sits on the left sleeve. The cloth is pure cotton at 290 g/m², brushed on the inside and therefore warm enough for autumn and winter.

Six sizes for the colder months

The hoodie runs from S to 3XL. At that cloth weight it is no thin summer jumper but a garment for October through March: the trip to an away ground, a spell standing, a walk in drizzle. The appliqué stays visible under an open jacket; the balaclava stays in the collar until it is wanted.
