Tankard instead of a heart on a black sweatshirt

A declaration of love, only more honest: where a red heart usually goes, this pullover puts a yellow beer tankard in the shape of one, crowned with white foam. The letter I stands to its left, and Beer sits underneath in broad serif characters. Three colours carry the whole design: yellow for the glass, white for the foam and the lettering, black for the ground.

Why a glass and not a heart

The joke lies in the swap. The silhouette remains that of a heart, but what fills it is beer with a head on top. The line therefore reads automatically as I love beer, even though the middle word is nowhere to be seen. That makes the print an obvious gift for whoever pulls the handcart on the Father's Day outing.

From knocking-off time to the clubhouse

It does the job on the walk to the pub and on the balcony afterwards, and it suggests itself as a present for the friend who always brings the crate to a barbecue.

Cut and fittings

A continuous kangaroo pocket at the front, a hood above that pulls tighter on its cord. Sleeve ends and hem are ribbed. All of it is kept in black, the cord included.

Sizes and material

S, M, L, XL, XXL and 3XL are on the list, six steps in all. Composition runs 65 parts cotton against 35 parts polyester, and the inner face is brushed. Into the machine at 30 °C.
