Blackletter stitching and one red wing

The logo is almost invisible and still impossible to miss: the brand name stands in blackletter characters, dense and raised on the front, black thread on black cloth. Only when light falls from the side does the lettering become properly legible. SELECTION follows in a smaller size below. Colour comes from the side panel alone, where a red embroidered wing sits, a single point that breaks up an otherwise black surface.

Crown, peak, fastening

Unlike a trucker cap, the crown is cloth the whole way round, with no mesh insert. That makes the cap a little warmer and lets it sit more evenly, because no change of material runs through it. The peak is curved and shades the eyes. At the back a snapback sets the width in steps. The cloth is polyester.

The same design in olive

Anyone who prefers something lighter will find the identical model in olive green. The black version stays the more discreet of the two: at a distance all you see is a cap, and the red wing only gives it away from the side. Set against a black jacket with dark trousers it makes one continuous picture, over a pale shirt a clear finish at the top. Clean it with a damp cloth along the seams.
