Woven trouser belt with a brass fastening

At around 3.2 cm across, the band of this belt from Commando Industries sits discreetly in the belt loops. The brass fastening has an aged surface and an embossed arrow emblem. At the far end a metal tip finishes the band and holds the woven edges together.

One length for many waist sizes

The belt arrives in a single size and is set to the waist at the brass fastening. Anyone who falls between two clothing sizes, or who buckles tighter with one pair of trousers and looser with another, therefore needs no second model.

Cotton webbing rather than leather

The band is woven from cotton throughout. It weighs less than a leather belt, barely adds bulk under a shirt and lies softly round the hip instead of standing proud of the loop. The feel is textile rather than smooth, and the weave stays supple even after long wear.

Beige, black or olive

Beige and olive pick up the military origin of the fastening and go with cargo trousers, work trousers and field trousers. Black holds back and works just as well with dark jeans as with chinos. At 3.2 cm the band stays narrower than many leather belts, so it also passes through the tighter loops of a pair of cloth trousers.
