Chefkoch Personalised Chef Apron with Stars

Top marks, awarded by the apron itself

No restaurant guide hands out the five stars here; the apron does it on its own. A chef's hat sits at the top as a golden outline, Chefkoch runs through the middle in sweeping white script, and the row of stars follows underneath. Closing the design is a line of plain capitals meant to hold a name. That line reads WUNSCHNAME on the product images, which is German for a name of your choosing.

Without the name line the same artwork is sold as the Chefkoch apron.

Cloth and colours

Navy, royal blue, black, red and grey are available, with no white version in this case. The twill weighs 170 g/m². Black is woven from 80 % polyester and 20 % cotton, while royal blue, navy, grey and red use 65 % polyester and 35 % cotton. The apron has a neck loop and ties 78 cm long and measures roughly 67 x 78 cm in its one size. Washing happens at 30 °C.

How the print is laid out

The hat stands above the lettering as a golden line without fill, its folds merely suggested. The job title travels left to right in a broad brush script, rising slightly as it goes. Five stars lie close together on one level, and the name field follows beneath them in narrow capitals.

In use and as a gift

The cloth intercepts fat, oil and sauce, whether at the hob, at the rack or at the smoker. The one size suits adults from slim to sturdy, and the piece comes in at about 125 grams. It changes hands most often at Father's Day, at the start of the grilling season or at a birthday.
