A grassroots football t-shirt for the club up the road

Large grounds sell their own merchandise; the pitch in the village usually has none. That is where the design starts: SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL at the top, FOOTBALL CLUB at the bottom, and a broad white bar between them. It is all printed in white in a tall, narrow typeface, and the photographs show the shirt in red and black.

Because no club name is printed on it, the shirt suits any club, from county league to village side. You wear it at the touchline on a Sunday, at the club do or alongside the people who stand at the barrier every week.

Fabric, colours and sizes

The shirt is knitted round, so it carries no side seams, from cotton throughout, 185 g/m², finished with short sleeves, a regular cut and a crew neck. Seven colours are on offer, kelly green and brown among them, plus red, black, navy, burgundy and royal blue. Every colour comes in S to 3XL, with royal blue and navy, plus red and black, running on into 4XL and 5XL. That lets you pick the colour to match the club's own, from kelly green to royal blue.

The shirt is made as a men's model in jersey, cut straight rather than fitted. We do not print a name or a squad number onto it – it turns personal through the colour and through the club somebody wears it for. If you are unsure, hold the club colours up against the seven tones in the selection and take the nearest.

For a whole team or a supporters' club it pays to pick one colour for everyone, and then the group is recognisable from the far end of the pitch.
